one thousand gifts

I mentioned earlier that I'm reading through "One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp. I'm in chapter 3 now and I have decided to take on a challenge that Ann herself takes on......making a list of one thousand gifts. Ann says, " i scratch it down; Gift List. I begin the list. Not of gifts I want but of gifts I already have."
Another sweet friend is doing the same thing and well...I think each Monday for the next how ever long it takes to get to 1,000 gifts, I will make my own list......right here on this silly little blog that I half-heartedly keep up...hopefully each Monday I will be able to conjure up a pile of gifts.....if even just one.....my expectations from it: healing, thankfulness, gratitude....so here's to 1,000 gifts:

"He who sacrifices thank offerings honors me, and he prepares the way so that I may show him the salvation of God."-Psalm 50:23

1. the deep greens on the grass after a hard rain
2. the soft sound of her coos early this morning
3. the printed Word of a Psalm
4. a venti, nonfat cinnamon dulce with whip
5. sore muscles from a good run
6. Brett's laughter at her funny faces

So you're loving this book? I've heard good things about it but was hesitant to pick it up. I've always found her blog a little tough to read because it's so poetic.
