help with book list!

Summer is around the corner...well actually about 7 weeks. So I am pretty excited. I guess this is one of the perks in being an educator. You get the summer to slow down and breathe again. I am making my summer book list and was wondering if anyone had some good books I should add to the list. I read everything so all suggestions are welcome!

If this is just reading for enjoyment, I have really enjoyed Memoirs of a Geisha, Where the Red Fern Grows, Tuesdays with Morrie, Water for Elephants, and Night by Elie Wiesel. If you've read all of these, sorry!

I second Leslie's recommendation of Water for Elephants, and would like to add Eat, Pray, Love.

See you at church!

these are some of my favorites from book club:

Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
the curious incident of the dog in the night-time by Mark Haddon
Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen

these are some of my favorites ever:

Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
On Writing by Steven King (the first half of the book is full of stories and memories - the second half really is on writing.)
Traveling Mercies by Anne Lamott
The poetry of Federico Garcia Lorca

Ha! I could keep going... but will this get you through Spring Break? Call me when you read, "Their Eyes Were Watching God". I'll buy the coffee...
